This is a UL Type 4X, washdown rated control cabinet for a food manufacturer. Our job was to analyze the need, set the scope and then / design / build / program this UL508A rated enclosure. It was designed with a Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, some PowerFlex 525 drives and field wiring terminals for convenience.
This is a hard wired control manual control station. It's also a UL Type 4X washdown rated enclosure that was UL508A listed. No PLC here, just hardwire controls to get the job done.
This is a UL Type 5 general purpose enclosure. What is UL Type 5 you say? It is a hybrid rating that you get when you use UL Type 4 and 4X components on a UL Type 12 enclosure. This enclosure was designed / built / programmed with a safety PLC and a highly capable servo system. Notice the room left in the wire duct to make wiring this assembly easier for field install.
We don't just build prints based on our designs. This UL508A Type 4X stainless steel enclosure was built to prints provided by our customer. Notice the neat and clean wire routing. Also notice the field wiring ducts that we have left as open as possible to allow room for field wiring. We like to do things that make installation of our work easy for our customers. This enclosure also has a vortex cooler that uses compressed air to cool the enclosure instead of onboard fans or air conditioners.
